Brand Ideation and Creative Direction for an Innovative Art Platform and Database

NotJustSquare aims to democratize the art world by creating a platform in the digital domain that can allow the users to gain access and validate the price of each artwork through a block-chain system. The platform itself is based on an inventory of digitized artworks. The objective is to use digital assets to engage new generation art collectors and introduce them to the new way of collecting.



Digital Domain



In the New Era, we need radical ideas to provide easy access to high-quality digitized art in virtual exhibition spaces. Making real art accessible in the virtual domain has the potential to positively impact our lives. We imagine a future, where art is an integrated part of our lifestyle, let it be physical or digital, giving us new perspectives, shaping our decisions and actions.

The database of personally selected classical and contemporary digitized artworks are available in multiple file formats which compatible with designers' work-life. NJS objects fit all of the most popular 3D software.

The platform is suitable for creators, visualizers, galleries as well digital enthusiasts. The operators of the art market, who want to sell their work as digital assets are now can broaden their opportunity by uploading and validating their information through a blockchain system.

Now we can collect unique works from digital creators and from contemporary artists at a fraction of the traditional price. We can show off our virtual collection to our friends and the community to make visible our uniqueness in the digital domain. Investing in a creator can create opportunities to resell our authenticated artworks on any digital asset exchange and be able to multiply our investment by selling for much more than the original price.

The next decade will be the age of transformation. Museums already digitizing their collections and preserving the heritage of humanity to save all data. Besides this current trend, digital art is on the rise and it's becoming a determining medium of the future of art. A digital museum, beyond salvaging, also enables to track, authenticate, and retain all data. A museum combined with a blockchain system can also raise the need of transforming the conventional authentication system. AI could help art historians and curators to enjoy the benefits of Big Data analysis tools enabling new ways in the curation process.



Creative Direction



Through 3-month long brand ideation and design thinking workshop, we were able to determine the new era of the art world. With a five-member creative team, I envisioned a future-proof startup focusing on digitization and digitalization while providing services and knowledge transfer in these fields for the players of the art market. Establishing the foundations of a digitized art-based platform can lead to an emerging interest in digital revolution. The aim was to create a visually engaging portfolio that could be part of a sales pitch that we can present to investors and corroborate our hypothesis.



Deliverables



As part of the portfolio, we created several website layouts, renders and determined the overall brand identity for NotJustSquare. We defined and segmented the potential customer personas and developed our strategy for product pricing and communication as well. We prepared the basis of the website for pre-launching and subscription. With the collected material we were able to figure out our go-to-market strategy and developed the foundations of our unique credit system and our product dictionary.
